Touch-Sensitive Buttons Might Escape to the MacBook’s Exterior

The latest Apple patent indicates future MacBooks will have touch-sensitive technology on their external casing. Apple dreamed up some grand ideas as to how this might be used Media playback controls? On/off button? iPhone sync? Possibly, but judging from this diagram shown, it mostly just looks like an elegant battery indicator.

incorporating the back of the laptop could be a very useful idea. some battery efficient media controls is all it would need to be successful.

Oh man, I'm so psyched for Wednesday. I don't care about the Ipad, but I own some of their stock and I should make a killing from the hype.

Regardless, it seems like a really good idea. Hopefully by the time i need a new macbook itll be integrated with this.

Hmm we'll have to wait and see. Apple usually does a good job with their mobile stuff, I just hate buying Macs.
