Samsung NC215S Snetbook Delayed, Won't See Sunlight Until August

There was reported that Samsung's solar NC215S netbook was up for pre-order and now it's been delayed. Despite earlier estimates of a July 3rd US shipping date.

The solar-powered laptop won't make it to consumers until sometime in mid to late August, due to hold ups involving the machine's custom panels. They are hoping this doesn't spoil anyone's plans to journey out of the house this summer.

Wow, I didn't know they had planned to make a solar laptop any time soon! Too bad it got delayed, but it's cool it's still going to happen at some point.

I think it's going to need to have quite a large batter pack if it's solar powered, so it can store an awful lot of power for when it's not so sunny. I can't wait for it to have a late summer release, and then everyone raging over the winter when it won't work xD

...solar powered laptop? Sounds like an overheat waiting to happen. Also, hope they have a way of getting around screen glare.
