If it doesn't have "8" or "Phone" after it, nobody thinks or cares about Windows anymore. But let's not forget that Microsoft is still selling a gargantuan tower of operating systems every second—and it matches everything else combined.

i do not care for windows 7, or vista for that matter
they come preinstalled on most computers. I'm not suprised Bill Gates is rolling in cash
Well it is better than Vista, and unlike Mac you can actually do things on it.

I must say that Windows 7 looks more better than Windows 8 since 8 looks like an OS for mobile gadgets. It doesn't look that great on a PC.
That's great news for Microsoft, I didn't expect them to be dominating Apple that much but congratulations to them I guess.
