Apple customers with Macs, displays, and iOS devices that were directly damaged in the Japan earthquake and tsunami may be eligible for free repairs. The offer, posted on the company's Japanese website, excludes iPod classic, nano, and shuffle, and only applies to customers living in areas covered by the Ministry of Health's Disaster Relief Act.
Considering water and other accidental damage typically voids a device's warranty, you'll want to give AppleCare a call soon -- the acceptance period only runs through June 30th.

well they make enough money..
Apple already makes million if not billions per quarter in profit.
Lol what a bunch of saints :p
that why i love to eat peach
This is extremely thoughtful.
Wonder how they know which ones are really broken from the quake and which one is not.
Least they're thinking of the people.
i suppose its the least they can do
Good publicity for them, glad they're at least trying to help out a bit.
good for them
i believe its the least they can do
I'm sure there will be some iPhones repaired that were not directly damaged by the quake. Then again Apple increased their revenues nearly 100 percent anyway. So they can definitely afford it.
I don't like apple but that is praiseworthy
Apple.... I am not a fan.
wow apple is on top of their game. im pleasantly surprised
Can't really complain about that. Charity's always a good thing.
Nice of them to do this..
Apple can affort that I am sure, otherwise they wouldnt offer
If they can find them..
That's very nice of them. Good PR too.
Wow, I have to give it up for Apple. I was in Japan just a few months ago, and I can not begin to tell you how the iPad has taken off over there. They are insanely popular
Nice of them, i think they just want to be loved by people. I'll never buy Apple :o
I don't get it, they spend money on people that already have money, but the Chinese people making the phones that have suffered nervdamage don't get shit. How fair is that?
This is good. Sorta ridiculous but since it wasn't really their fault; a natural accident. I support!
