Nokia CEO Stephen Elop on stage at MWC in Barcelona had a few choice things to say about the recent announcement that Nokia will partner with Microsoft to create devices which run Windows Phone software. Elop told the crowd assembled there that Nokia's "first priority is beating Android," and he also took a moment to let everyone know that Nokia is not interested in being the only company producing Windows Phones -- countering some recent exclusivity chatter.

Don't know if they an take down Android with it's root access and overall hacker friendliness.
Tough act I must say. Nokia basically is starting from scratch by going with Microsoft rather than Google
Nothing will beat google.
i can't wait for this phone
pretty lofty goal there
good try nokia i dont think u can do it
strictly business
Good. They need to o back and forth to get the spot as number one phone. Means the customer will get a good product.
Google will still dominate
They will loose, they always do. xD
Nokia is about the only company left that still makes phones that aren't iphone touch-screen style. I hate touch-screens!

Android is a pretty hefty goal to take down.
good to see
goodluck!
Good luck Nokia
Android will crush you. you cant beat free open source. hackers run technology, and they like open source.
Seing as how all of my prevoius phones are Nokia, I'm glad they're going onboard with Windows phone. However, I'm not due for an upgrade till the end of this year so I'll be holding back until then.
It will be interesting to see, and it's always good when there's a diverse range on the market.
Thanks for the follow, I'll do the same. This article brought me back to the Nokia N-Gage. Nokia always thinks it has something up its sleeve, but I guess we'll see.
Never going to happen.
