The defining characteristic of most home Blu-ray players isn't usually their thickness, but perhaps if you live in a house with low ceilings you might fancy Samsung's new, unnamed Blu-ray device. Seems pretty deep, though, Samsung. Got anything narrower?
While announcing the device, Samsung also took the time to blow its trumpet about US Blu-ray player sales—claiming it is "commanding" the US market and took a 35% share of sales between January and November.
For a bluray player, I must say that's a pretty sleek design and I'm liking it. I prefer things to be smaller since I don't have much space and have to use it wisely.
I Still don't really see much of a point in buying a blu-ray player as of yet, the prices of the disks are still retardedly expensive and the whole "high-def" phenomenon is really overrated in my opinion... yeah, sure, it's nice, but it makes old movies look like shit, for example, the matrix looks better on DVD then blu-ray because it still has the whole "it looks realistic" thing, where as on blu-ray you can clearly see the mistakes and short cuts that the effects team had made... this makes me a sad panda

Looks pretty cool. Though, I agree with Nokel.
I'm going to skip the whole blue-ray thing. Wake me up when I can get a holo-crystal.
Yeah, after replacing my VHS collection with DVD's I'm going to skip this round and wait for the next big thing in home movie entertainment.
Lol they are trying to be cool like the macbook air by making the thinnest blu-ray player.
Finally! I couldn't get a blu ray player before cause they're all an inch thicker and they don't fit in my entertainment center.
Like all mediums, pornography will decide which tech will be backed. Remewmber the VHS vs Beta days? Beta was superior, but porn backed VHS.
bluray, maybe someday
that's sort of... you know.. not necessary in my house
this making the thinnest of everything wave is starting to get to my nerves
What's the cost on something like this?
Of course, leave it to the Asians to make it smaller haha
Still too expensive. Gonna stick with normal DVDs.
this 3D crap is annoying.
I want one now!
competition is what leads these innovations. :D
Samsung is one of my favorite brands!
