Starting today, Facebook will pay $500+ to anyone who exposes a vulnerability that could compromise user data. To qualify, you must be the first to report it and give them time to fix it before going public.
That's pretty cool. This is always a good idea. It will cost them more than that in terms of bad publicity etc. to have a flaw exposed, so might as well pay the general public to find them for you in secret.
You could probably make more than that coming up with some way to expose it lol. It is a good idea though, until they sue you for breaking their website with a payout that's more than five hundred and they turn a profit.
Time to get my $500
ReplyDeletehaha thats awesome! wish i had the skills to do it
