I've never seen ties used in that way, but what the Hell, if it works...

I hate those ties. But at least that's a more productive use for them.
how just put some glitter on those and a card in the spokes and you'll look extra cool.
Good for a quick trip...but not great for more than a few miles, as those wear out quick. You'd be better off with steel wire.
