PLUG Hearing Aid Concept Stretches Your Earlobes for Better Sound

Occasionally I cover my ears and sing "Lalalala, I'm not listening to your concept description." Today I'm covering them and begging "No! Don't punch holes into my poor earlobes and make me use this hearing aid when I'm old! Please!"

I understand that it's a gradual process to stretch out one's earlobes and wear jewelry that looks like the PLUG hearing aid concept—it's even trendy to some—but that doesn't mean that I could imagine a lot of people actually using this hearing aid if it ever turns into a real product.

  5. I couldn't ever wear those (ears aren't modified) but half the people I know around her certainly could.

  9. Honestly, that gives me another reason to buy a Masterlock and lock it in someone's stretched earlobe.

  10. I dont see why this cant partially be applied to regular hoop earrings... seems plausable enough

  13. I've never liked that look before but I guess this is really nice if you do like the look and have hearing problems. Why not combine the two?

  15. I don't like the look of stretched out earlobs. However, the idea of using an earring for a hearing aid is awesome. I would totally get a leet hearing aid like the earrings from DBZ and have the cable that connects it to my inner ear sewn into my skin so you couldn't even notice it!

  18. eh. I'd wear it if I ever gauged up that high

it makes sense, in a way. A lot of people with large lobe piercings also go to loud music shows.

  19. I'm pierced, but I'm not one to stretch out my lobes, if anythign the lowest gauge I'll go is a 4, because at least in the future I'll be able to let my holes close up if I wanted to.

  21. Ugh. When you are 40 those stretched out lobes are gonna look like something out of National Geographic.

  28. ew I hate those plugs. People who wear them are stupid. What happens when the trend starts to fall? You take the plugs out and you have huge nasty holes in your ears! Plus, someone can run by while you have the plugs in, and stick a padlock in it and run away xD

  29. If it works then it works, I suppose. Whether or not it works better than a traditional hearing aid will be the real test.
