If that would be possible, this is how the zooming on this titanic dust and gas cloud would be like.
Of course, that's not how Hubble works. The video trip is composed with multiple images, merged onto each other in a digital composition program.
The intricate shapes of the nebula are caused by the ultraviolet radiation glowing from the infant stars, which disperse the gas and dust around them as they form. In fact, scientists found here the "first unambiguous proof that star formation by accretion of matter from the gas cloud is ongoing in this region."

Happy Thanksgiving!
great picture :O
crazy stuff, hopefully they get to zoom further and further into it, could be millions of small solar systems in there
wow i can imagine they are going to find galaxies within other galaxies with this!
That's both crazy and awesome. Space is cool.
always interesting to see what's beyond our solar system
would be amazing!
There are actually modifications you can do to your dlsr to take amazing pictures like this. The easiest way would be to just get a DSLR->Telescope mounting ring and have at it. Some websites offer a service to have your camera sent in so that they can modify it to take pictures and capture the colors of the gasses. If you do have a DSLR and a tripod, there are also programs you can use to take a series of pictures of the night sky that look normal, then run the images through the software and it will show a TON of stars. its called star tracking or sky tracking.. i cant remember.
That would be awesome!
The NASA gets the most beautiful photos ever @___@

I wish I had a camera like that.
That would be one giant camera too given the size of the Hubble telescope.
The universe is so amazing..

It´s a great image, the colors made this awesome to look at.
