It should be noted that there are still some things we don't know about the PlayBook, and the HP Slate specs are taken from a leaked internal document that hasn't yet been officially confirmed.
Still, the battlefield's a lot more clearly defined than it was when we first compared tablets—both real and rumored—back in January. And as its rivals catch up, the iPad's looking increasingly outgunned.
That's just on the hardware side, though. Apple's still got three major advantages that opponents haven't made up much space on: iOS, the App Store, and a huge head start. It's going to take more than a pair of HD cameras to overcome that.

ReplyDeletehp usally make crap but looks good hopefully they dont put a big price tag on it
Might have to get me one of these. You should check out my blog too. I just got it started.
ReplyDeleteHP! Also im a fan of smaller internet tablets. Owning a nokia n800 myself. I hope that nokia makes a bigger tablet someday.
ReplyDeleteI really can't place tablets in my life. Desktop, laptop and smartphone is all I need.
ReplyDeleteAside from a supposedly lower battery life, the HP tablet wins out (almost completely) on the hardware side.
ReplyDeleteIm for hp too

ReplyDeleteI love competence, makes things cheaper and better! may the best win!!!! xD
ReplyDeleteThe only thing the Ipad really has going for it is battery life.
ReplyDeleteOh Bravo, mate! This is a superb post today, my friend. Very well done, great research on your part, and just incredibly helpful to most of us I'm guessing. I know I've been looking for an alternative to apple, and my girlfriend really wants the pad. You may have saved my 20 years of apple abstinence from being raped.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, mate

ReplyDeleteI think the Samsung one will be beast. They seem to make some decent products. I'm glad other companies will give apple a run for its money since all apple products are overpriced pieces of crap.
ReplyDeleteI'm still down with the iPad (next gen)
ReplyDeletethe one with Windows 7
ReplyDeleteThe iPad is alright.. I prefer the Galaxy Tab
ReplyDeleteScrew Apple. More power to HP/Blackberry :D
ReplyDeletethe app store is the best thing apple has going on
ReplyDeleteGreat post. following
ReplyDeleteNot apple :)
ReplyDeleteWow, the specs for the ipad is fucking pathetic. It seems to me like they hold off SIMPLE additions like flash support, just so they can sell another version of the ipad later. When will people stop letting themselves get ripped off? The HP slate is KILLING in specs/features, and it's the same bloody price. RAGE.
ReplyDeletethe Blackberry one looks like it should be a good buy.
ReplyDeletewell. atleast they all look diffrent
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty interesting....I've been wanting an iPad lol Good choice?

ReplyDeleteAt this point, I'm pretty sure I'd take the Slate or the Android.
ReplyDeleteApple products make me uncomfortable.
Want. Them. All.
ReplyDeletewhy would i need a pad thing?
ReplyDeleteo_O
iPad has always sounded like a joke to me. A blown up iPod, worthless.
ReplyDeleteThe current iPad may not be the best one of the one listed, but the new one (Apple has released a new iPhone, iPod and Computer every year for a while now, so a new iPad will be coming) probably will. There even going to start supporting multi tasking in november with the software update.
ReplyDeleteI have an ipad mini truestory
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Apple's single core. Good luck multitasking.
ReplyDeleteFinally some alternative options!
